Steven Sauro, 19, Homeless, was placed under arrest on five warrants – one out of Lowell District Court for Assault and Battery on a Correctional Officer, three out of Newton District Court for Using a Motor Vehicle Without Authority, Larceny Over $250, Breaking Into a Depository, and Larceny Under $250, and one out of Malden District Court for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Using a Motor Vehicle Without Authority.

A Cambridge resident was observed taking a left onto Memorial Drive and operating a scooter on the wrong side of the road for more than 300 feet, then failing to stop at a red light at Western Avenue and Memorial Drive. When finally stopped, it was discovered the individual was operating with a suspended license. The offender was issued a criminal complaint and citations for his actions.

The Cambridge Police Explosive Ordinance Unit responded to the sidewalk on Newport Road for a report of a suspicious black bag with a wire sticking out of the bag. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the bag contained mail and other personal objects.

Cambridge Police Officers responded to a Prospect Street residence for the report of Malicious Destruction to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that she parked her motor vehicle on Prospect Street on 11/2 and returned on 11/6 to find the back windshield smashed in, but nothing was taken from the vehicle.

A Cambridge resident reported that she was spat on as a result of road rage, as she sat in her car at the crosswalk at Massachusetts Avenue and Linden Street. She stated that the incident involved an unknown male and female.

Nahom Tsegaye, 26, 860 Harrison Avenue, Boston was arrested for Assault and Battery on a Disabled Person, Resisting Arrest, and Failing To Register as a Sex Offender. Tsegaye was removed from a bar for being over intoxicated and causing a scene. When he left, he took a handful of change from a man in a wheelchair and whipped it at him. After Tsegaye was placed under arrest, he tried to run away from officers.

A Boston resident was summonsed to court for Interfering With a Police Officer and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer. The defendant actively hindered the duties of police officers who were in the midst of an investigation. His actions caused officers to lose focus on an unfolding felony investigation, and focus their attention on him instead. The defendant actively resisted arrest, swinging his elbows and kicking the feet of arresting officers.
