Cambridge Police were dispatched to a White Street grocery store for a shoplifting in progress. As a result, Michael Naughton, 27, 82 North Street in Medford, was placed under arrest for shoplifting and a warrant from Boston District Court.

An employee of the public schools reports that her wallet, containing multiple credit/debit cards, was stolen from a pharmacy located on River Street. The cards were later used at several stores outside of the city for charges close to $1,000.

AMORY ST
A resident of Milton was summonsed to court for wrongfully displaying and using a handicap placard within her motor vehicle while parked on a public way within the City of Cambridge. Cambridge Police responded to an Amory Street address for a motor vehicle obstruction report. An investigation revealed that the resident used a handicap placard belonging to her client who at this time was not on scene. An officer queried the handicap placard visibly hanging from the windshield, and a return came back as missing.

Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of Hampshire Street and Cardinal Medeiros Avenue for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. All persons involved were still on scene. The pedestrian had minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The operator of the motor vehicle was cited.

An Everett resident was summonsed for Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Public Way with a Revoked Registration after being stopped on Hampshire Street near Prospect Street following an incident. The registration status of the vehicle was later found to be revoked for insurance purposes and the vehicle was being operated on a public way.

RICHDALE AVE
Cambridge Police responded to a Richdale Avenue residence in regards to malicious destruction of property. A Cambridge resident was shopping at the Porter Square Shopping Center earlier this afternoon when she was approached by two suspicious men who offered to repair her vehicle. The vehicle owner declined their offer. When the vehicle owner returned to her car, she noticed a burn hole in her bumper.
