CPD Investigating Overnight Armed Robbery on Flagg and Banks Street

Update: A 16-year-old male from Cambridge has been arrested in connection with Wednesday morning’s armed robbery that occurred in the area of Flagg Street and Banks Street. He will face an armed robbery charge as well as charges associated with three outstanding warrants. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

December 6, 2017 -- The Cambridge Police Department is asking residents to be vigilant, while they investigate an overnight armed robbery that occurred in the area of Flagg Street and Banks Street.


Cambridge Police responded after a 27-year-old victim reported he was walking home from Allston in the area of Flagg Street and Banks Street near the Corporal Burns Playground at approximately 1:20 a.m. when he noticed three unknown individuals walking toward him. The victim was reportedly shoved onto a vehicle and put into a choke hold by one suspect, while a second suspect held a handgun to the side of his stomach. The suspects then went through the victim’s pockets, took his cell phone and wallet, and fled.
