An analysis of the serious crime statistics for the first quarter of 2026 points to a large decrease of 23% in the Part One index total for Cambridge when compared with 2025. During the first three months of the year, there were 627 serious crimes reported in the City. For the same time period in 2025, the combined total for Murder, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Larceny & Auto Theft was 811 incidents.
