Police responded to the 1000 block on Memorial Drive for reports of a larceny. an Individual reported that an unknown person claiming to be a representative of Microsoft convinced them to withdraw $9,900 from their personal bank account and deposit it into a bitcoin account. Unknown person made the Individual believe that the company accidentally deposited that amount into their account. Unknown person had somehow gained access to a secondary account belonging to the reporting party, and simply transferred the cash between their accounts. As a result, a report was taken.

Police responded to the 600 block on Massachusetts Avenue for a suspect who had urinated in the lobby of the building in front of the conceirge. Police located the suspect after being given the description as well as looking at CCTV footage and placed Grecia Erazo, 38, unhoused under arrest for one count Larceny from a building, one count Deface Property and one count Lewdness, Open and Gross. ERAZO matched the description given by the reporting party and from the CCTV footage from the apartment complex and had the stolen apples on her which she took from the apartment building.

The operator of vehicle 2 failed to yield and struck vehicle 1 causing damage to its front bumper, quarter panel, and front passenger side tire. The operator of vehicle 2 fled the scene without identifying themselves or waiting for police. As a result, a report was generated

On Friday, January 10, 2025, the Cambridge Police Department was notified by a passing motorist of an individual who fell asleep behind the wheel on Monsignor O'Brien Highway, a public way owned and maintained by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Officers located an operator sleeping behind the wheel as the vehicle was running. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the operator, Mr. Carlos Vergara, 51, of Dorchester MA had a license status of "Revoked" for being a habitual traffic offender. VERGARA was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with (1) count of Operating a Motor Vehicle With a Revoked License as HTO (Habitual Traffic Offender).

Police responded to a shoplifting in progress from a busines located on the 500 block on Massachusetts Ave. The suspect was observed removing a loss prevention device from an item, concealing it in their bag, and leaving the business without paying. A party matching the description was located in the area and the stolen merchandise was recovered. A query of the party for active wants and warrants yielded 2 active warrants out of Chelsea District Court. Subsequently, David Harze, 23, of Stratford, Connecticut was place under arrest and is being charged with 1 count of Unlawful Deactivation of Removal of a Theft Detection Device.

Police responded to the 200 block on Alewife Brook Parkway for a shoplifting in progress. The reporting party called reporting that a suspect, described as a Hispanic Male, last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and a dark hat, just left the store after stealing merchandise. the reporting party advised that the suspect concealed frozen shrimp and lobster tails and left the store without paying for the items. the reporting party stated that he stole approximately $150 worth of the seafood. the reporting party also advised that this same male was in the store last week and stole another $150 worth of the same type seafood items. As a result, a report was generated.

After further investigation, Thomas Miller, was placed under arrest by Cambridge Police for Possess Class B, Methamphetamine.

Police were flagged down on Hampshire Street by a private security officer who reported there was a suspicious male that they recently removed from one of their properties that was in possession of stolen items. Cambridge Police were able to locate that party who was trespassing in another business that was closed at the time. After an investigation, it was determined that the individual was in possession of a large quantity of construction tools and items they did not own. The property was recovered by CPD for safekeeping until the rightful owners can be identified. As a result, the individual was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Trespass and Receive Stolen Property.
