    Police responded to the area of JFK street for a hit & run crash with property damage. The reporting party stated their vehicle was struck by another vehicle in traffic, causing damage. The second vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.

    Daniel Reis, 24, of Winthrop was placed under arrest on charges of Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, Impeded Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and a Lights Violation. Officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle Reis was operating as it had no lights on and he was observed texting. Officers to conduct Standard Field Sobriety Tests and Reis displayed multiple indicators of impairment.
