    Sean Proia, 47, of Newton was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. An employee of a Massachusetts Ave business reported a suspect had shoplifted approximately $400 of electronic items from the establishment. Upon arrival, officers observed Proia standing outside the business in possession of the items. Proia was subsequently placed under arrest.
