Officers observed McDonald in Central Sq. engaged in the suspected use of illegal narcotics. During the interaction McDonald was in possession of a white, rock like substance believed to be crack cocaine.

    Mathew McFarland, 39, unhoused, was placed under arrest for two active warrants out of Cambridge District Court and will face additional charges related to the illegal possession of narcotics and a large knife. Officers recognized McFarland as having a warrant and stopped him near Porter Sq. During the interaction it was discovered that McFarland was in possession of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and assorted pills without a proper prescription.
