The Community Learning Center’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program provides adult learners with hands-on clinical experience and education to help them start a career as a healthcare professional.
It’s officially spring and city staff are working diligently to prepare City fields for the spring sports season! While synthetic turf is already being used, the winter thaw and snow melt have made grass fields soggy and vulnerable to damage if they are used before adequate preparation. We expect all fields to open for athletic use by early April.
At the Community Learning Center (CLC), we help students learn new skills and prepare for jobs. We also encourage them to be active members of the Cambridge community.
The Cambridge Council on Aging partners with Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) to offer hot, nutritious lunch meals to Cambridge residents ages 60 and older. Changes in funding allocation will impact the lunch meal program beginning April 1.
Do you want to prepare for college while earning college credits? The Community Learning Center’s Bridge to College Program prepares adult learners to succeed in college-level courses. We will start accepting applications in April for the 2026-2027 program.
This spring, the War Memorial will offer a variety of recreational programs for children and adults, including swimming instruction for all ages, youth gymnastics and tennis, karate, yoga, Zumba, and more!
The Cambridge Office of Early Childhood is offering a spring enrollment period for the Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP) to support families with preschool-aged children who have recently moved to Cambridge or who missed the earlier application period for the 2026-2027 school year.
Are you interested in viewing planets and identifying constellations? Ever wanted to take apart a telescope to see how it works? Join the Cambridge STEAM Initiative and other partners at the annual Community Astronomy Night event to explore the night sky, guided by high school interns from the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian Science Research Mentoring Program. Register by end of day on Thursday, March 5.
