Baby University Program

Human Service Programs

Baby University (Baby U) is an innovative, free family support program that serves Cambridge families who have children three years old and younger. The program provides parent education, playgroups, one-on-one visits, and beneficial community resources on Saturday mornings over a series of 14 weeks.

Baby U provides opportunities for parents to connect and learn more about important parenting topics like brain development, family literacy, and positive discipline, all while strengthening their parent/child relationship. Fathers and mothers participate together and separately, sharing their thoughts and learning from each other in small group settings.

Parents who complete the program then join the Baby U Alumni Association. This gives them access to the Center for Families’ family fun events, workshops, and parent discussion groups that provide ongoing support and allow the program to maintain relationships with families.

Baby University is offered through the Department of Human Service Programs’ Community Engagement and Family Support Division.
