CLC volunteer

Volunteer at the CLC

Do you want to help CLC students reach their goals? Volunteer with us as a class aide or tutor. 

Join our team of volunteer class aides and tutors!

Class Aides

  • Support teachers during class
  • May help facilitate class discussions, assist students with small group activities, provide tech support or work one-on-one with students. 
  • Can volunteer in morning or evening classes.
  • Can work at either of CLC's locations: Central Square (5 Western Ave.) or North Cambridge (286 Rindge Ave.)
  • Work between 1.5 - 3 hours per week

Tutors

  • Work with students in math, reading, writing, science or English (ESOL)
  • Can meet with students in-person at the CLC, at a public location, or online
  • Typically meet once a week for 1-1.5 hours with the person they are tutoring.

All volunteers must attend a training session and be willing to commit to a consistent schedule.
