Lunch Meals at the Cambridge Senior Center

The Council on Aging (COA) partners with Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) to offer hot, nutritious lunch meals to Cambridge residents ages 60 and older.

Lunch meals are served at the Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Ave.) Monday through Thursday each week from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Due to changes in funding allocation, the following will be in effect beginning April 1, 2026:

  • On Mondays and Wednesdays, COA will cook meals on-site at the Cambridge Senior Center

  • On Tuesdays and Thursdays, SCES’s vendor (City Fresh) will provide hot lunches at the Cambridge Senior Center

Reservations are required for lunch meals. To reserve a meal, Cambridge residents can call 617-349-6047 or stop by the Cambridge Senior Center’s Front Desk one week in advance of your reservation date.

There are a limited number of meals available each day and Cambridge residents are given priority. Meals are available to Cambridge residents for a suggested donation of $3 per meal.

Advance reservations are not available for non-Cambridge residents. If you are not a Cambridge resident, you can arrive at the Cambridge Senior Center Monday through Thursday after 12:15 p.m. to determine lunch availability. Menu options are not guaranteed and non-residents must pay $5 per meal.
