Community Fire House 9/11 Ceremonies

Description

On Friday, September 11 at 9:50 a.m., every open Cambridge firehouse will hold a brief 10-minute, synchronized ceremony open to the public. The ceremony will include:

• 9:50 a.m. – Overhead doors will open and on duty personnel and guests will gather at apparatus bay doors.
• 9:55 a.m. – The Emergency Communications Department will transmit Special Signal 5 5 5 5, followed by a brief narrative and a one minute moment of silence.

The senior Fire Officer or Firefighter present will close the ceremony by leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
