Do you want to prepare for college while earning college credits? The Community Learning Center’s Bridge to College Program prepares adult learners to succeed in college-level courses. The next Bridge to College program will begin in September.

We will start accepting applications in April for the 2026-2027 program, and information sessions will be held throughout the spring. Sign up for an information session

As a Bridge to College student, you will:

  • Improve your reading, writing, and math skills
  • Develop your computer and study skills
  • Earn free college credits for Bunker Hill Community College English courses
  • Get help applying for college, financial aid, and scholarships

Bridge to College students must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency degree to be eligible for the program. The program is from September – June. Classes meet weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15 – 9:15 p.m. at the Community Learning Center in Central Square. There are also group advising sessions once a month on Thursdays.

“Coming to a new country and trying to learn English as an adult was really hard," says Lourdy, who participated in the Bridge to College Program in 2022. "Sometimes I could not understand why I was going to school. But now I can see it was worth it.” After completing the program, Lourdy enrolled in Bunker Hill Community College and recently graduated with his associate's degree. Learn more about Lourdy's experience.
