Do you want to start a career in healthcare? The Community Learning Center’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program provides adult learners with hands-on clinical experience and education to help them start a career as a healthcare professional.
The CNA Training Program for English Language Learners is currently recruiting participants for Fall 2026!
To be eligible for the program, you must be an English language learner (intermediate or higher) and you must attend an information session. Information sessions will be held throughout the spring and summer. Sign up for an information session!
The CNA Training Program for English Language Learners includes:

In-person and online learning
- Clinical experience at top hospitals and health clinics
- Dual enrollment at Labouré College of Healthcare in Milton (free transportation provided)
- Job readiness classes and support applying for jobs in healthcare
- Classes to improve English and math skills

Free registration for the Massachusetts State Nursing Exam to become a state-certified nursing assistant
"Taking the [CNA] training was a turning point [in my life],” explains Nigus, a 2022 graduate for the CNA Training Program for English Language Leaners. “If someone wants to get into healthcare, it can be really helpful." Nigus is now working as a nurse at MGH.

The Community Learning Center also offers a CNA Training Program for Fluent English speakers who are Cambridge residents. Recruitment for this program track will begin in late 2026.
