Get Help with SNAP and MassHealth Benefits

The text "Do you need help with SNAP or MassHealth Benefits" is on top of this graphic. An illustration of a woman in a doctor's white coat smiling and a bag of groceries is the below the text.

Thousands of Cambridge residents are losing or at risk of losing their SNAP (formerly food stamps) benefits and MassHealth insurance because of federal policy changes. These changes introduce new immigration and work requirements for people to be eligible for SNAP and MassHealth. If you are impacted by these changes or you have questions about them, you are not alone!

The City of Cambridge, Cambridge Economic Opportunity Committee (CEOC), the Cambridge Community Foundation, and more than 30 other community-based organizations created a coordinated system to help Cambridge residents understand these changes, re-enroll in benefits if they are still eligible, and access important resources.

We Can Help You:

  • Understand the changes in work and immigration requirements.

  • Check your eligibility and re-apply if you have lost your benefits.

  • Contact the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) or MassHealth and submit documents for you.

  • Connect to other resources.

How To Get Help:

  • Email SnapMassHealth@ceoccambridge.org or call 617-868-2900.

  • Visit CEOC at 11 Inman St. in Cambridge.
    • Walk-in support may be available on a limited basis.
    • CEOC staff speak 10 languages and have access to remote interpreters.

For information about upcoming events where you can get in-person assistance with your benefits, view FAQs about eligibility requirements, and access additional resources, visit www.cambridgema.gov/SNAPMassHealth.
