Healthy Aging: Cycling Series for Adults 55 and Older

The Healthy Aging: Cycling Series invites Cambridge residents ages 55 and older to ride in a friendly, low-stress environment. Beginning on shared-use paths, the series helps participants strengthen bike handling skills, increase comfort, and gain confidence navigating city streets. Rides move at an easy pace, with dedicated social time before each outing to foster conversation and connection.

Cycling events are free and open to all adults ages 55 and older. Registration is required to participate. To register, fill out this form

Thursday, May 14
Meet at Revival Cafe and Kitchen, 125 Cambridgepark Drive
3:15 - 5 p.m.
Social time: 3:15 - 4 p.m. 
Ride: 4 - 5 p.m. (Minuteman Trail)

Thursday, May 21
Meet at Flour Bakery, 40 Erie Street
3:15 - 5 p.m.
Social time: 3:15 - 4 p.m.
Ride: 4 - 5 p.m. (Charles River)

Thursday, June 11
Meet at Tatte Bakery, 305 Assembly Row, Somerville
3:15 - 5 p.m.
Social time: 3:15 - 4 p.m.
Ride: 4 - 5 p.m. (Mystic River)

Thursday, June 18
Meet at Sofra Bakery, 1 Belmont St.
3:15 - 5 p.m.
Social time: 3:15 - 4 p.m.
Ride: 4 - 5 p.m. (Watertown Cambridge Greenway and Fresh Pond Reservation)

Thursday, June 25
Meet at Cafe Beatrice, 100 N First St.
3:15 - 5 p.m.
Social time: 3:15 - 4 p.m.
Ride: 4 - 5 p.m. (Somerville Community Path)

*In the event of bad weather, the workshop will be canceled. Bad weather includes rain, snow, sleet, poor air quality, temperatures above 85 °F or below 32°F.

The Healthy Aging Cycling series is offered in partnership by the Cambridge Department of Transportation and the Cambridge Council on Aging.
