The Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) connects Cambridge teens to a 6-week, paid summer job in Cambridge and surrounding communities. The 2026 program will run from July 6 through August 14, 2026.

Teens will work 20 hours a week and will be paid $15 per hour by the City of Cambridge. MSYEP offers a variety of work experiences that teens can select on their application. In addition to gaining job experience, teens can participate in financial literacy and job-readiness trainings, field trips, and a program-sponsored social events during the summer.

The last day to apply is Friday, May 8.

MSYEP 2026 Application Eligibility
  • Applicants must be Cambridge residents.
  • Applicants must be 14 years old as of July 6, 2026 and are eligible through the summer after graduating high school.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. in order to get paid.
