Project Schedule

Last fall, crews completed all the demolition and utility work within the park. In the next few months, crews will install the new play and park equipment, and reconstruct the pathways and sidewalk on Hurley St. Please note that all work is weather dependent. We expect the park to reopen in late summer.

We will continue to provide updates as the construction progresses.

What to Expect during Renovations

The park will continue to be closed to all users during renovations.  No Parking signs will be posted along Hurley St; please be sure to check dates and times.  Work hours will be 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

The City of Cambridge is planning a comprehensive renovation of Hurley Street Park. Hurley Street Park is an approximately 0.3 acre park located on Hurley Street in East Cambridge and currently features swings, a small waterplay area, and a variety of features geared towards younger children.

    • Water sprinklers
    • Tables and seating with umbrellas
    • New community garden (raised beds)
    • Improved lighting
