Cambridge Youth Programs (CYP) operates afterschool programs for middle schoolers and pre-teens in grades 4 – 8 at Frisoli, Gately, Moore, and Russell Youth Centers. Programs are designed to align with national research to promote youth development and leadership.
- Open to 4 – 8th graders.
- Applicants must be Cambridge residents.
- Option to participate 2, 3, or 5 times a week.
- Programs run during the school year, September – June.
Program activities include:
- Enrichment activities: baking, dance, sports leagues, and more!
- Homework Hour
- Snack
- Skill-building workshops
- Field Trips

Tuition
- Tuition for 4th and 5th graders is based on household size and income.
- Participation is free for 6 – 8th graders.

- Families apply through the DHSP Afterschool Programs Lottery. The application opens in April each spring.

Middle School Activities Club
CYP's Middle School Activities Club (MSAC) is open to all Cambridge young people in grades 6-8. MSAC offers a variety of fun, social opportunities to Cambridge middle schoolers.
MSAC is a citywide club, with events and opportunities based at Youth Centers and field trips to local attractions. Check out the CYP events calendar for upcoming MSAC events!
