Pre-Teen / Middle School Summer Programs

Cambridge Youth Programs offers exciting and enriching programming at Youth Centers during the summer. Enrollment in CYP programs is determined through a lottery process.  

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Cambridge residents or City of Cambridge employees.
  • Open to 4 – 8th graders.


Programming

  • Summer programs run first week of July through the second week of August. Session dates are announced in February.
  • Summer programs run from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • All programs include outdoor activities, skill exploration, leadership development, Drop Everything and Read (DEAR), and field trips.

Tuition

Cost is based on family size and income. CYP Pre-Teen / Middle School Programs are free for 13-year-olds.

How to Apply

Families apply for CYP summer programs through the DHSP Summer Lottery. The lottery opens in February each year.
