1. Housekeeping, 8:00am (10 min)
- Vote on February 2026 Minutes
- We will be seeking an additional co-chair in the April meeting. No experience necessary.
2. City Updates (20 min)
- First Mobile Recycle Center: April 22 at Tobin School, 4-7:30pm.
- Outreach events upcoming
- Parking Registration.
- Earth Day at Main Library: Finished Compost giveaway (Fix It Clinic to be hosted later)
- New Solid Waste Program Manager: Lena Johnson; brief introduction and role as Zero Waste Ambassador coordinator.
- Tours of facilities:
- Casella recycling processing: March 26, 8:30-11am
- Greater Lawrence Sanitary District (GLSD): May 5, 8:30am-12pm
3. What has RAC worked on in the past and what are your thoughts for the future? (50 min)
- Presentation from Mike on RAC’s successes over the years
- Breakout into 3 “virtual” rooms and report out. Potential rooms: Free Store, Food Waste Diversion, Commercial Waste Reduction, Community Outreach

Committee members are appointed by the City Manager. All meetings are open to the public. Members of the public may speak during the public comment section for up to two minutes. If you wish to speak, please contact Mike Orr at 617 349-4815 or morr@cambridgema.gov by 1pm the day before the meeting. You may also email or mail written comments for inclusion in public comments in lieu of speaking during the meeting.
