Inman Street, between Hampshire Street and Broadway, is included in the City’s Five-Year Plan for sidewalk and street reconstruction. Utility work will begin in the coming months. After the utility work is complete, the sidewalks and road will be rebuilt in the coming years.

The Department of Public Works and the City’s Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site community meeting Wednesday, April15th from 5-6:30 p.m. for residents to learn more about the upcoming utility work and the design process for the Street and Sidewalk Reconstruction work.

Residents interested in joining the discussion meet at the intersection of Inman Street and Hampshire Street at 5 p.m. on Wednesday April 15, 2026. To help you prepare for the meeting, we have posted a video presentation on the project page at Cambridgema.gov/InmanStProject. We encourage all residents and businesses to watch this video prior to the April 15th site meeting.

If you are unable to attend the in person meeting, or have comment questions or concerns in advance or after the meeting, please also feel free to share your feedback by completing this brief survey:
