NOTICE: DPW offices at 147 Hampshire St. are open to the public, by appointment only, on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Appointments can be made by phone at 617-349-4800 or by email at theworks@cambridgema.gov. Individual staff are also available for appointments outside of these hours as needed; please contact the office with the details of your issue, and we will coordinate with the appropriate staff member. Many DPW services can be provided online, and DPW phones are staffed 24/7 to respond to urgent concerns.

- Paving of widening of sections: Rt. 2 West around Leach Basin Island and Rt. 2 East.
- Installation of drainage manhole and catch basin.
- Single lane closures will be used.

- Installation of drainage on Rt. 2 Westbound
- Installation of granite edging at traffic islands.
- Single lane closures will be used.

- Continued installation of drainage on Rt. 2 Westbound
- Concrete barrier set up for permanent work zone

Drainage: Spring 2015 to Summer 2015

Roadway Work & Traffic Signal Modifications: Summer 2015 to Spring 2016

In an effort to enhance the intersection for motor vehicles, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be making some enhancements to the drainage system and to the roadway widths and traffic signals. These components combined are designed to reduce congestion within the area.

This project is being managed by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The Cambridge Department of Public Works will be updating this website with any information that has been relayed from MassDOT.
