City of Cambridge Closures and Service Information for Independence Day Holiday Tuesday, July 4

Cambridge, MA, June 23, 2023 – City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday, and payments will not be required at parking meters and parking meter pay stations. The offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will also be closed on July 4, however, the cemetery gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be one day behind schedule that week following the Tuesday, July 4 holiday. Monday collection will occur on its regular schedule. Street cleaning will also be suspended on the holiday and will occur in advance on Friday, June 30 for streets that would normally be swept on the first Tuesday of the month. Streets will be signed and posted.
