City of Cambridge Closures and Service Information for Veterans Day Holiday Friday, November 10

In observance of the Veterans Day holiday on Friday, November 10, most City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations.

Please note that Cambridge Election Commission will be open on Friday, November 10, 2023 for extended hours, from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., as this is the deadline for submission of nomination papers state committee, ward, or town for 2024 Elections.

The offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will be closed on the holiday, though the gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Recycling Dropoff Center at 147 Hampshire Street will be closed on Saturday, November 11.  


Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will not be affected and will remain on its regular schedule for this holiday. Regularly scheduled street cleaning routes for Friday, November 10 will be cleaned on Monday, October 30.

Reminders related to street cleaning and waste collection are available by text message, email, or app notifications by downloading the “Zero Waste Cambridge” app for iPhone/Android. Users can also register to receive reminders for the above services, as well as other city notifications, such as emergency and crime alerts via text or email, and email newsletters, such as the Daily Update at CambridgeMA.Gov/Subscribe.
