City of Cambridge Thanksgiving Day Holiday Closures and Service Information, November 23-24, 2023

City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23-24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Parking meter payments will not be required on Thanksgiving Day, but will be required on both Friday and Saturday, November 24-25. Please also note that all library locations will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22 and will reopen for their regular hours on Saturday and Sunday.  
   
Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended on Thursday, November 23 and will be one day behind schedule the rest of that week. Street cleaning will be suspended on both Thursday and Friday November 23-24.  Streets that would have normally been cleaned on Thursday, November 23, will be cleaned on Wednesday, November 29, and streets that would have normally been cleaned on Friday, November 24, will be cleaned on Thursday, November 30.  Reminder notices will be posted.

Reminders related to street cleaning and waste collection are available by text message, email, or app notifications by downloading the “Zero Waste Cambridge” app for iPhone/Android. Users can also register to receive reminders for the above services, as well as other city notifications, such as emergency and crime alerts via text or email, and email newsletters, such as the Daily Update at CambridgeMA.Gov/Subscribe.
