What's in the Works

What's There Now
Several years ago, the City of Cambridge installed approximately 150 feet of concrete box culvert under Vassar Street in anticipation for this project. Earlier this summer, a second section (~120 feet) of concrete box culvert and ancillary bend structures were installed under the Grand Junction Railroad. This next phase will connect 1.) existing infrastructure in Waverly Street, down Talbot to the railroad portion; 2.) Through West Lot to Vassar; 3.) From Vassar down Amherst Alley to Memorial Drive; 4.) across Memorial Drive to an outfall at the Charles River
What's Happening Next
The Contractor will be mobilizing to the site, setting up tree protection, installing erosion controls, site fencing and temporary site facilities.
