Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Cambridge

Substantial investments in energy efficiency and clean energy, along with a cleaner regional fuel supply, have the City on target to achieve a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) from municipal operations by 2020. Intensive planning is underway through the Municipal Facilities Improvement Plan, Zero Waste Master Plan and the Clean Fleet Initiative to develop strategies for 2030 and beyond, with the goal of reaching net zero emissions.
