Norfolk Street Reconstruction Project

Community Meeting Notice: Second On-Site Community Meeting Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4-6 p.m.

The Department of Public Works and the City's Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site Community Meeting on Thursday, April 10 from 4-6 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can meet project staff at the corner of Norfolk Street and Hampshire Street to discuss the Norfolk Street Reconstruction Project.

The focus of this meeting will be to review the initial draft plans for the street. The project is part of the City’s Complete Streets initiative to design and operate streets that are safe for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transit users

Community Meeting Notice: On-site Community Walk Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 5 - 7 p.m.

Norfolk Street from Broadway to the Somerville line is scheduled for reconstruction in 2024 as part of the City’s Five-Year Plan for Sidewalk and Street Reconstruction.

The Department of Public Works and the City’s Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site walk Tuesday, April 30 from 5-7 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can meet project staff at the corner of Norfolk Street and Hampshire Street

To help you prepare for the meeting, we have posted a video presentation on the project page at www.cambridgema.gov/norfolkstreet. We encourage all residents and businesses to watch this video prior to the April 30 meeting.

We are in the design phase of the project. City staff would like to meet residents and walk the street to identify and discuss issues of concern. If you are unable to attend the site walk, please share your feedback by completing this brief survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NorfolkStreet
