The Department of Public Works and the City’s Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site Community Meeting on Thursday, May 8 from 4-6 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can meet project staff at the corner of Shepard Street and Walker Street to discuss the Shepard Street Reconstruction Project.
The focus of this meeting will be to review the initial draft plans for the street. The project is part of the City’s Complete Streets Initiative to design and operate streets that are safe for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transit users.

Shepard Street from Garden Street to Mass Ave is scheduled for reconstruction in 2024 as part of the City's Five-Year Plan for Sidewalk and Street Reconstruction.
The Department of Public Works and the City's Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site walk Tuesday, May 14 from 5-7 p.m . Anyone interested in attending can meet project staff at the intersection of Shepard Street and Garden Street.

We encourage all residents and businesses to watch this video prior to the May 14 meeting.
