Adult Basic Education and HiSET/GED Prep

Are you looking to improve your reading, writing and math skills?
Are you hoping to take your high school equivalency test?

Join the Adult Basic Education program at the Community Learning Center (CLC)! We offer classes in four levels of math and reading, from beginner’s to high school level. 

Adult Basic Education classes are held in the evening. Class times are:
• Tuesdays 6:15pm-9:15pm
• Thursdays 6:15pm-9:15pm

Classes run from September-June and we also offer summer classes. In addition, CLC students have access to services, including:
• Career advising
• Education advising
• Support for students with learning differences and disabilities

Information Sessions and Placement Tests

To learn more about our Adult Basic Education and GED/HiSET prep, attend an in-person information session at the Community Learning Center's Central Square location (5 Western Avenue). During the information session, you will learn more about the program and take a placement test (if you do not finish during the session, you can come back later).

  • May 3, 2022 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • June 7, 2022 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Call 617-349-6363 to sign up for an information session. All staff and participants will be required to social distance and wear masks. You should not attend an in-person information session if you are feeling sick.
