Learn English at the CLC

CLC ESOL teacherDo you want to learn to read, write, and speak English better? The Cambridge Community Learning Center (CLC) has free English classes for people living in Cambridge. We have over 26 classes as part of our English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program.

Students from more than 65 countries take English classes at the CLC. 

 

Our Program Has:

  • Six levels of English classes, from basic literacy to high intermediate
  • Classes at two locations: Central Square and North Cambridge
  • Extra conversation and computer classes
  • Special classes for people over 60 years old and parents

Sign Up For An Information Session

When you come to an information session, please bring a document that shows your Cambridge address. This can be a piece of mail, lease, driver's license, or something with your address. If you stay in a homeless shelter in Cambridge, you can bring a letter from the program.  

Class Schedule

  • Classes run from September - June. There are also optional summer classes are available. 
  • Morning classes meet two or three days a week from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Evening classes meet two times a week from 6 - 9:15 p.m.
