Frost Terrace - 1791 Mass Ave

Rendering of Frost Terrace

Frost Terrace will create 40 affordable rental homes in the heart of Porter Square. Developers Sean Hope and Jason Korb, through their entity CC HRE 1791 Mass Ave LLC, have purchased three contiguous parcels at 1791 Mass Ave and 1 and 2 Frost Terrace in the Agassiz neighborhood. They will preserve three existing houses on the site, including the full restoration of the historic building at 1791 Mass Ave, as well as adding a new building. The units will be affordable in perpetuity, with all units restricted to low- and moderate-income households. The majority of the units will be family-sized, and the project will feature an indoor play space. The design will focus on sustainability, including energy-efficient fixtures and systems. The project has received a comprehensive permit, and the developers are continuing to assemble the necessary financing.

The Cambridge BZA voted to approve a comprehensive permit for the project. The developers are currently assembling the required financing. For more information, please visit the developer's project website.

Financing for the project is currently being assembled.

The project will contain 40 rental homes in four buildings. The units will consist of 13 three-bedroom, 13 two-bedroom, and 14 one-bedrooms. There will be a mix of flats and duplexes, with three fully accessible units. All units will be affordable to low- and moderate-income households in perpetuity.
