823 Main Street

In 2007, Just-A-Start (JAS) purchased the site of the former Nightstage nightclub. The site had sat vacant since the early 1990s, and was a blight on this busy portion of Main Street. With support from the City, Just A Start redeveloped the site into ten affordable condominium units. 

The building received LEED Platinum certification and contains many green features, including a rooftop solar array that provides most of the units' electricity. In addition, all units contain Energy Star appliances, high-efficiency windows, and other insulation to reduce heating and cooling costs.

This project created new affordable ownership opportunities in a vibrant neighborhood, close to transportation, job opportunities, shops, restaurants and cultural facilities. In addition, the site was transformed from a vacant, blighted parcel to an integral part of the active streetscape on Main Street.

Construction was completed in 2008. All units are sold and occupied. No further updates will be made to this project page.
