Cambridge Commission for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) is dedicated to sharing information and maximizing transportation options for individuals with disabilities. Below are local transportation resources.
Cambridge Taxi Discount Coupon Program - Provides taxi discount coupons to Cambridge residents with disabilities and to older adults (ages 60+) in Cambridge. The taxi discount coupons are funded by the City of Cambridge and coordinated by CCPD.
Door2Door Transportation by SCM - Available to Cambridge residents who have a mobility impairment or who are ages 60 and older. The transportation service provides rides to medical appointments and grocery stores. Door2Door is also piloting a weekly shuttle service to the Target on Somerville Ave. in Somerville.
MBTA Transportation Access Pass - People with disabilities and Medicare cardholders are eligible for reduced MBTA fares with a Transportation Access Pass (TAP) CharlieCard.
MBTA The Ride (ADA Paratransit Program) - Provides door-to-door, shared-ride transportation to eligible people who can’t use the subway, bus, or trolley due to a temporary or permanent disability.
Transportation for MassHealth Members - If you are a MassHealth member, you can get non-emergency transportation to your medical appointments for MassHealth-covered services. Schedule rides online, by mobile app, or by phone.
