City Clerk's Office

Picture of historical document

The City Clerk is the official record keeper for the City of Cambridge. Records kept by the Office of the City Clerk include vital statistics (including birth, marriage, domestic partnerships and death) and business and professional certificates.

On March 31, 2020, Governor Baker extended the stay at home advisory until May 4, which requires all businesses and organizations that do not provide “COVID-19 Essential Services” to keep their physical workplaces and facilities closed to workers and members of the public.   Thus, City of Cambridge building closures and program adjustments currently in place will remain that way until May 4.

The Cambridge City Council will continue to hold regular meetings.  Members of the public cannot be physically present during the meeting, but can watch the meeting on the Municipal Channel 22-Cityview or online via the City of Cambridge Open Meeting Portal link at www.cambridgema.gov

All public comment will be conducted through ZOOM virtual meetings.  Please be aware that ZOOM is ONLY being used to allow public comment at the beginning of the City Council’s meeting.  ZOOM will be deactivated when public comment has concluded.  The meeting will continue to be available on the Municipal Channel and the Open Meeting Portal.
