Disability Parking Information

Request a Temporary Disability Parking Permit

Through the Cambridge Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Cambridge residents with disabilities can request a temporary disability parking permit, effective in the city of Cambridge only. The temporary permit will be effective in Cambridge public parking facilitates and on-street parking in Cambridge.

Request a Residential Disability Parking Space in Cambridge

Any disabled person may park in any disability parking space in Cambridge as long as a disability plate, disability placard, or Cambridge Temporary Disability Parking Permit is displayed. Cambridge residents who have a disability plate or placard may file an application for a disability space adjacent to their homes through the City's Department of Transportation

Apply for a Disability Placard or License Plate 

Disability plates and placards are issued to qualified Massachusetts residents who meet the eligibility requirements by the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV). 

To apply for a disability plate or placard, you must complete an Application for Disabled Parking through the Commonweath of Massachusetts' website
