Below are local organizations providing support, legal assistance, and community resources for immigrants and families impacted by detention or ICE activity.
- LUCE Immigrant Justice Network of Massachusetts
LUCE operates a hotline that provides support and information to immigrant communities. If you think you see ICE, call 617-370-5023.
Volunteers will:
- Verify ICE sightings
- Support you in exercising your rights
- Share verified information to help protect the community
The hotline operates daily from 5:00 AM – 9:00 PM and is available in multiple languages.
- Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN)
- BIJAN supports immigrants and families through accompaniment and community-based aid. While assistance cannot be guaranteed, volunteers may be able to provide:
- Court or ICE check-in accompaniment
- Legal referrals
- Bond or legal fee contributions
- Community letters of support
- Rides for family visits
- Help with paperwork or bond payments
- Short-term housing or transportation for people released on bond

- PAIR Project
PAIR provides free legal services to detainees in bond and removal defense cases.

- De Novo Center for Justice and Healing
- De Novo provides free legal assistance to low-income immigrants and asylum seekers who are living in Massachusetts in cases involving:
- Asylum
- VAWA
- U-Visa
- Special Immigrant Juveniles (SIJ)
- Forensic Evaluations

- Monthly Immigration Legal Clinic:
The City of Cambridge and De Novo co-host a free virtual immigration legal screening clinic on the third Wednesday of every month.
Massachusetts residents can call the Immigration Hotline at (617) 405-5479 to request a free consultation.
- Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Immigration Unit
The GBLS Immigration Unit helps clients secure documentation and pursue permanent legal status in the United States. GBLS provides free legal representation and advocacy for low-income immigrants, focusing on:
- Refugee and asylum cases
- Survivors of domestic violence
- Unaccompanied minors
