Mid-Cambridge Parks Vision

Many of the parks in Mid-Cambridge will soon need repair or replacement. A lot of these parks are play areas.

We know there will soon be a need to update and improve these spaces. We would like to work together with neighbors to create a plan for these parks and open spaces. By working together, we can make sure future park updates and plans meet the needs of our community and neighborhood.

We want to understand:

  • what about the neighborhood parks you like right now
  • what you would like to have or see in these neighborhood parks
  • what is possible in each park

Your input will help guide the design of the parks. The goal is for each of the parks to complement each other.

Project Background and Schedule

About the Mid-Cambridge Parks Vision Process

The goal of this project is to develop a plan for different parks in the neighborhood.

In addition to what types of activities the parks should support, we would also like to understand how public art could be a tool to connect these parks. We also want to understand from neighbors whether there are design characteristics that may be of interest to make the parks relate to one another or complement each other.

The individual park projects will be implemented at different times. This project schedule shows the expected timeline for each of these projects.
