Renew Residential Parking Permits Online Starting December 1, 2025
It's almost the new year – and that means it’s time to renew your Cambridge parking permit! Make sure to renew your Resident and/or Visitor Parking Permit by March 31, 2026.
How do I apply for a parking permit?

Beginning December 1, 2025, Cambridge residents can renew their Resident and Visitor Parking Permits online at www.cambridgema.gov/rpp . If you apply after March 1, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your permit by April 1. We will not mail permits until January 2nd.

In-person renewal starts January 2, 2026. Residents must renew their parking permits by March 31, 2026. Renew in person at the City of Cambridge’s Department of Transportation in the City Hall Annex at 344 Broadway.
Where do I put my permit?
When you receive your Resident Parking Permit, you must immediately stick your Resident Parking Permit on the inside, lower driver's side corner of the windshield. RPP sticker must be placed in the required location to be considered valid.
