Weekend Traffic Impacts: Street Closures Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 For Public Events

The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures this weekend due to scheduled community events. Events include the Harvard Square Business Association's Vintage Market, Meet Me Halfway Block Party, and Celebrate Spring in Harvard Square, and Saint Anthony’s Santo Cristo Feast.

Traffic impacts and street closures are expected throughout the day on Saturday. Please follow all posted detour signage, plan ahead, and consider using alternative routes or modes of transportation.

Friday, May 8 – Sunday, May 10: Saint Anthony Parish’s Santo Cristo Feast

  • Procession Route:

  • Saturday: Will leave St. Anthony’s Parish onto Cardinal Medeiros Ave., turn right on Hardwick Street, to Berkshire Street, to Cambridge Street, and back to the Parish

  • Sunday: Will leave St. Anthony’s Parish onto Cardinal Medeiros Ave., turn right on Plymouth St., right on Berkshire St., right on Cambridge St., right on Cardinal Medeiros Ave. and into St. Anthony's Parish

  • Time of Processions: Saturday, May 9 from 5:00 - 5:30 PM and Sunday, May 10 from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Saturday, May 9: Vintage Clothing Block Party

  • Street Closure:

  • Arrow Street

  • Time of Closure:10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 9: Meet Me Half Way Block Party

  • Street Closure:

  • First Section of Linden Street in Harvard Square

  • Time of Closures: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
