Gold Star Pool's lap pool is ADA compliant. Patrons swim in the shallow end and a wheelchair is parked at the top of the wheelchair ramp. A lifeguard oversees the swimmers.

Gold Star Pool

Information about Gold Star Pool's Summer 2024 open swim hours will be available in June 2024.

Gold Star Pool is located at 123 Berkshire Street. Each summer, Cambridge residents can enjoy open swim at the facility, which features two ADA-compliant pools. Have fun and explore aquatics in the Beginner Pool (maximum depth of 3-6 ft.) and practice your strokes in our Lap Pool (or get relief from the heat by jumping into the Lap Pool’s 10 ft. deep end!).

In addition to offering open swim, Gold Star Mothers Pool provides morning swimming lessons to participants in local camps during the summer.

Access to Gold Star Pool is free for Cambridge residents.

Capacity is limited at the pool. If the pool reaches maximum capacity, staff reserve the right to stop allowing additional patrons into the pool. State law dictates our capacity.

Weather Policy: Gold Star Pool is open during rain. In the event of lightning, all staff and patrons go inside of the facility and wait inside for 30 minutes from the last lightning strike before being able to return to the pool.

Pool Rules

Gold Star Mothers Pool is fully staffed with lifeguards during open swim.
