Cambridge Public Library

Tax Forms

The library provides federal 1040/1040SR tax forms and instructions and Massachusetts state tax forms. We are also able to print forms from the IRS website and from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue website.

Tax Assistance

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers are providing free tax assistance at the Cambridge Public Library on Saturdays from February 14 to April 11, 2026. Sessions will run 9:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Main Library and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Square Library. 
Appointments are required. As of March 1, CPL VITA is fully booked through March. The intake form is still available at https://www.cplvita.org/tax-assistance to request appointments in April. Volunteers will e-mail those who have filled out the form to assess their tax preparation needs and assign the appointment slots.
