Training, both lecture and hands-on, included physics and nature of fire, fire tactics and strategy, ventilation, overhaul, hose line management, ground and aerial ladder operations, search and rescue, use of SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus, rapid intervention, water supply, pump operation, hysrulics, hazardous materials, flammable and combustible gas control, structural fire attack, physical training, and much more.
Cambridge graduates included FFOPs (firefighters on probation) Jude Albert, William Brunetto, Jack DeCourcey, Nathan Landry, & Mathew Spellman. Welcome aboard to all the graduates! Welcome to a great career where you have the opportunity to help people (and animals) when they are most vulnerable.
Following an additional week of EMS training & orientation, these FFOPs will be deployed to fire companies across the city.
