Ongoing Training Program - June, 2026

Fire Companies have been participating in a training review of basic Firefighting skills utilizing the East Cambridge Fire Training Facility.

All companies, all groups are rotating through these various basic training scenarios, in a continuing series.

These include a combined, hands-on review of forcible entry (via a steel door/steel frame prop), search & rescue of a simulated victim, pump operation, water supply, hydraulics, stretching an attack line via the stairs, via hauling line, & over a ground ladder to the upper floors of the training facility, use of the aerial ladder waterway as a standpipe, radio discipline, incident command, & much more.
As always, hose must be reloaded on the apparatus, and tools and equipment made ready for the next job. Each evolution is critiqued for lessons reinforced.
