The winner of the Resident Parking Permit Photo Contest has been announced. With more than 80 participants submitting 115 photos and pieces of artwork, City staff selected an image of the Charles River at sunset for the 2026 Resident Parking Permit sticker.
Congratulations to this year’s winner, Cambridge resident Isabella (Izzy) Cappabianca! For the past five years, Izzy has enjoyed sunset walks along the Charles, and her photo captures one of the city’s most iconic views.
For the contest, photographers and artists of all experience levels were invited to submit their digital photos or pieces of art that depict scenes or places in Cambridge. Past permits have featured photos of the pond at Cambridge Crossing, the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School sign, Cambridge Fire Department headquarters, and most recently the iconic “Graffiti Alley” in Central Square.
Parking permits are required in all areas designated "Parking by Permit Only." Residents may apply for Resident Parking Permits for passenger vehicles and motorcycles, and/or Visitor Parking Permits for people visiting their homes. Permits must be renewed every year by March 31. Visit
