November is International Games Month. Drop-in to play board and card games with neighbors, friends and family. Recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers.

Repairing Garment Closures will focus on reattaching and adding simple closures like buttons, snaps, and hooks & eyes to clothing. Using just a needle and thread, participants will learn how to replace different types of buttons, including shirt and coat buttons, or add invisible snaps to help their garments lie on the body better. Please note that this workshop will not cover zipper repairs. Suitable for beginners with little or no sewing experience.

Learn how to visually capture your own memoir or fictional creation in a short graphic novel through story planning, character development, and techniques for capturing emotions, motion, and time. Materials provided and no prior art or author experience needed! Registration is required, and is attached to the 1/13 first session. This program is for ages 10-18. Recommended for children ages 5 and up. Registration is required. Please register all attending children (adults do not need to register). This event is part of a special series promoting our 2026 Curious George Lecture (CGL) with Jasmine Warga, award-winning author of A Rover's Story, Other Words for Home, and many other popular children's books.
