Active since 1974, Cambridge Arts is one of the most dynamic local arts agencies in the country. The Cambridge Arts Council exists to ensure that the arts remain vital for people living, working and visiting Cambridge, MA.

As the City considers projects and programs to be implemented using its allocation, the City wants to ensure that planned uses of the funding incorporate input and feedback from constituents, community-based organizations, and other community stakeholders. As such, you are invited to submit initiative ideas for City consideration using the below form. The form is tailored so that submitted ideas are consistent with the minimum range of funding use options as established by ARPA and U.S. Treasury regulations.

The MBTA extended the Green Line to Union Square in Somerville and College Avenue in Medford. The MBTA also plans for a future extension to Route 16/Mystic Valley Parkway in West Medford.

The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our March meeting, we will discuss Human Nature: nine ways to feel about our changing planet by Kate Marvel (this book was originally our January read, but the discussion was cancelled due to weather). As part of a national celebration of Public Works Week, the Department of Public Works (DPW) Commissioner Kathy Watkins and other City officials recently honored the recipients of the 2024 Commissioner’s Award for Outstanding Performance during a ceremony and cookout at the DPW yard. This award recognizes four employees of the DPW who have demonstrated exemplary work performance.

Get to know Melissa Young, Enterprise Application Specialist with the City of Cambridge Information Technology Department! In his role, Young works on major citywide software rollouts, including but not limited to OpenGov, the software used for permitting, licensing, and other forms.
