Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. The City of Cambridge Emergency Communications Department will be holding Informational Sessions for potential candidates on the open Emergency Telecommunications Dispatcher (ETD) position. Sessions will include a brief presentation, followed by a Q&A with current ETD’s, and overview of the hiring process and employment benefits.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will reconstruct sidewalks and begin resurfacing Route 28 in Cambridge (McGrath Highway and Monsignor O’Brien Highway). Work will include late-night/early morning detours for traffic heading north between Third Street and Broadway.

The Green Street Garage will close to hourly parkers on Tuesday, September 6, while the City’s contractor, Contractor Specialists Inc., carries out maintenance and repair work.

A Stand Up, Harvard! rally will be held Saturday, April 12, starting at noon at the Cambridge Common. Join members of the community in standing together for democracy and academic freedom.

We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for our monthly evening story time event. This program will run for 20-25 minutes, with songs, stories and rhymes. No registration is required. Nomination papers for City Council and School Committee will be available beginning Monday, July 3rd at the Election Commission office, 51 Inman Street, Cambridge.
